Powerline Networks to Seven Hotels in Cyprus

Strong Partnership Delivers Lightning Quick Powerline Networks

(Bratislava, Slovakia – December 10, 2007) ⎯ J.C Haggipavlo & Son Ltd and Corinex Communications Corp. have partnered together to deliver seven triple play installations in 5 star hotels in Cyprus. The properties and their customers are now enjoying video, voice, and data services throughout, all based on Corinex’s unique 200Mbps Multi Dwelling Unit Powerline technology.

Located in Limassol, Pafos, Ayia Napa, Protaras and Lárnaca, are the “Atlas Hotel Apts”, “Hawaii Grand” Hotel, “Solomonides Residences”, “Annabelle” Hotel, “Napa Mermaid” Hotel, “Grecian Park” Hotel and “SunHall” Hotel. Each has Corinex’s 200Mbps Powerline technology implemented and allows every room in the hotels (50-70 per hotel) to receive video, voice, and data services. The projects were implemented in close collaboration with Cyprus Telecommunication Authority (CYTA), a part of Cytacom Group, the largest ISP in the country.

The partnership between J.C Haggipavlo & Son LTD and Coirnex started 2 years ago. Since then J.C Haggipavlo & Son LTD has been fully trained on Corinex’s Powerline and Coaxial Networking technology, including being designated a Corinex Competency Center for the region.

In some cases, the hotel chooses to deploy a few Ethernet cable drops in which case we can finish the Powerline installation in a few hours. J.C Haggipavlo & Son Ltd has scheduled 15 more installations for 2008, with each hotel having an average of 100 rooms.
