We are growing and seeking a seasoned, hands-on, cross-functional CFO who will help us manage continued rapid growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and working as a key member of the company’s leadership team, the CFO is accountable for handling portfolios in investments, capital markets, financial and risk management operations. This includes the development of a financial and operational strategy. You will work alongside other C-Suite team members and take ownership of all company fiscal, compliance and regulatory matters. To succeed in this role you must have experience in raising capital in a key financial capacity within a audited technology or software engineering company with experience in financial capital markets and/or private equity.
Work with the CEO to identify and secure funding for the company’s ongoing, long-term operational needs.
Working alongside the CEO, define and implement the company’s strategic vision in developing new business opportunities and securing funds to achieve organizational objectives.
Establish financial and strategic goals for the Company and own the process of investing strategies to meet business objectives and optimise the capital structure (debt and equity), tax, legal structure, regulatory and securities reporting requirements.
Foster and cultivate stakeholder relationships including the investment community.
Work alongside the CEO and CTO to lead the fundraising activities (structuring, due diligence, investor roadshows, business model), and reaching financial close.
On at least a quarterly basis, prepare variance analysis of the year-to-date actual versus budget results for the Senior Management Team to ensure compliance with the operating budget.
Ensure the business appropriately manages risk and manages insurance; identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
Oversee the finance & accounting staff responsible for all purchasing, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and reports to funding agencies.
Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the Company's day-to-day needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
Proven ability in raising capital and working with investors is a must.
Prior experience as a VP of Finance / CFO with a demonstrated track record successfully scaling an organization.
Experience within Software technology and Engineering industries is required.
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy to understand format. Able to interact comfortably with the executive management team.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, master’s degree or MBA, with a CPA / CFA designation
Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in the technology industry.
Proven leadership skills and strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.
