ESG Policy

Effective Date: August 5, 2025
Approved By: Jan Sobotka, Director of Strategy
Applies To: All Corinex employees, contractors, and partners

1. Our Purpose

Corinex is committed to accelerating the global energy transition by delivering innovative, high-impact technologies that foster a more efficient, decentralized, and sustainable energy system.

This Sustainability Policy outlines guiding principles and practices to ensure operations, solutions, and partnerships align with environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

2. Our Commitment

Corinex aims to enable and exemplify sustainability through:

Decarbonization

Supporting net-zero energy systems by enhancing grid capacity for renewable integration. We calculate our primary impact indicators, by calculating additional electrical capacity for installing large electric consumer devices.

Resource Optimization

Reducing energy losses and alleviating grid constraints through grid visibility, real-time control, and data-driven load management. Minimize energy waste by providing higher granularity of consumer behavior to DSO/IDNO’s.

Resilience

Strengthening grid reliability and adaptability under increasing and intermittent energy loads through advanced digital infrastructure and real-time system control. Reduce transformer component degradation and reduce waste.
Equity

Empowering energy access and participation through decentralized, democratized systems. Develop partnerships to enable consumer energy trading in markets that support grid flexibility schemes and energy communities.

3. Environmental
Responsibility

Corinex will:

  • Prioritize low-carbon and energy-efficient technologies across product lifecycles.
  • Reduce the environmental impact of our operations, including minimizing waste, emissions, and resource consumption.
  • Measure and report the impact of our technologies on grid efficiency, renewable energy integration, and emissions reduction.
  • Complete our first full Scope 1, 2, and 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions inventory in 2025 using Dcycle as our main reporting platform, with a commitment to reduce and offset emissions in the years that follow.
  • Comply with all applicable environmental regulations and aim to exceed minimum standards.

4. Social Responsibility

Corinex recognizes the importance of just and inclusive energy transitions.

Corinex will:

  • Ensure fair labor practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion across all business units and partnerships. Complying with ISO standards as well as local best practices.
  • Promote digital access and energy empowerment for underserved communities via our solutions.
  • Engage stakeholders — including utilities, regulators, consumers, and communities — to co-develop scalable, equitable smart grid systems.
  • Contribute to workforce development through STEM education initiatives, co-op education programs, upskilling, and training programs.

5. Sustainable Innovation
and Governance

Corinex embeds sustainability into the innovation process and governance by:

  • Designing modular, scalable, and future-proof systems that reduce infrastructure strain
  • Collaborating with governments, utilities, and standard bodies to drive policy change and smart energy regulation.
  • Routinely assessing environmental, social, and economic impacts as part of R&D and strategic planning.

6. Alignment with
Global Goals

Corinex aligns its work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

  • SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
  • SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
  • SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
  • SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
  • SDG 13 – Climate Action
  • SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

7. Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs)

Corinex tracks and evaluate sustainability performance through the following indicators:

  • Number of substation products installed
  • Number of residential end-point installations
  • Demonstrated 35% improvement in grid constraint capacity, enabling deployment of additional low-carbon technologies (as validated by E.ON Group Innovations)

These metrics guide our internal improvements, external reporting, and strategic decision-making.

8. Continuous Improvement and Reporting

Corinex is committed to:

  • Publishing periodic sustainability updates to share progress, challenges, and learnings.
  • Conducting ongoing impact analysis and integrating results into product and operational development.
  • Reviewing this policy annually and updating it to reflect advancements in sustainability, technology, and global standards.

9. Responsibility and Enforcement

All Corinex employees and partners are responsible for upholding this policy.

Department heads are accountable for implementation in their respective areas. Non-compliance may lead to corrective actions, including training or contract reevaluation.

Accelerating Net Zero

Corinex’s grid flexibility solutions are the key to decarbonization.
