Smart Energy Dialogue 2026

About Smart Energy Dialogue 2026

The Smart Energy Dialogue 2026, taking place June 17–18, 2026 in Haigerloch, Germany, brings together utilities, technology providers, and energy market experts to discuss the next phase of digitalizing and managing modern electricity networks.

Hosted by Theben Smart Energy GmbH, the event focuses on key developments shaping the European energy transition, including the rollout of smart meter gateways (SMGW), flexibility management, and emerging grid communication technologies.

Across two days of presentations, technical discussions, and networking sessions, attendees will explore practical experiences from smart meter rollouts, regulatory developments such as Section 14a, and new approaches to coordinating distributed energy resources and flexible loads. Experts will also discuss communication technologies supporting grid digitalization, including LTE, 450 MHz networks, and evolving standards for interoperable smart energy systems.

The program includes real-world deployment lessons, technology showcases, and discussions on how utilities can build more responsive and intelligent energy networks. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit Theben Smart Energy’s facilities and test laboratory to see the technologies supporting next-generation smart grid applications.

We look forward to connecting with industry peers and partners at Smart Energy Dialogue 2026.
